Valair — Built to Work, Ready to Play
Meet Valair!
Valair is a 4-year-old spayed female Belgian Malinois with an abundance of love, confidence, and drive. She is an exceptionally affectionate girl who enjoys cuddles and thrives when she has a meaningful job to do.
Valair is looking for a working home that will provide her with structure, activity, and opportunities to use her impressive abilities. She has been started in nosework and has shown tremendous promise. She would likely excel in barn hunt, agility, Fast CAT, search and rescue, and many other activities her handler would like to pursue. She is incredibly environmentally confident and takes new situations, terrain, climbing, and jumping in stride. She is not fearful or easily overwhelmed, making her a wonderful candidate for adventurous, active work.
Valair is not a bitework prospect.
She is a dominant female and would prefer to be the only dog in the home—or, at minimum, the only female. She can play well with male dogs, though she is a rough player and may be intimidating to some dogs. Any canine companions would need to be carefully matched.
Despite her drive, Valair is incredibly loving and affectionate. She adores her crate, is non-destructive when left loose, travels well, and consistently handles new environments with confidence. She is a very dependable dog—you can expect the same steady, reliable Valair whether she was worked yesterday or a month ago.
Valair loves water, including troughs, buckets, rivers, and lakes. However, she is not currently a good fit for dock diving, as she is uncomfortable with docks and pools.
Valair is a special dog for an experienced handler who wants a devoted, versatile working partner with the heart and drive to take on new adventures.
